At UnityPoint Clinic, CMAs and LPNs are an integral part of the clinic care team and essential to our patient's journey.

• Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
• Collect blood and other samples; prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and vaccines. 
• Answer questions and provide teaching to patients and family members in person, through portal, and via phone.
• Provide appropriate and timely documentation in the patient’s electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes.

Qualifications if LPN:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
• Computer data entry experience.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures
• Able to write, read, comprehend and speak fluent English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
