Marketing Communications Specialist will support the Cedar Rapids Region, including St. Luke's Hospital and Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa.
Define and implement comprehensive communications and marketing strategies that support UnityPoint Health’s mission and vision. Provide leadership, consultation and expertise in one or more key functional areas of marketing, public relations and/or communications:
· Media relations
· Public relations
· Special events
· Marketing
· Internal communications

Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

Education:
| Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in journalism, communication, public relations or marketing is preferred |

Experience:
| 2 to 5 years experience in marketing, public relations or the advertising field. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Demonstrated creative ability with regard to writing, promotions, advertising along with strong editing skills. · Knowledge of current trends in marketing, public relations, media relations, advertising and social media. · Proficient in word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, InDesign · Skilled in managing multiple projects for delivery in a timely manner and within the fiscal budget. · Requires highly developed communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management throughout the UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates. · Excellent academic credentials with a track record of professional accomplishments, which demonstrate superior performance, leadership and vision. · Possesses excellent written and verbal communications. · Ability to work as a team member, creating and maintaining effective working relationships. · Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies and procedures.
