RN Charge ICU (Weekender)

Full Time 0.9 FTE

Friday – Sunday from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Hiring immediately! The RN Charge ICU assumes responsibilities delegated by the Department Director which concerns the planning and implementation of patient care. Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to the patients and their families. Plans, organizes, and directs activities for department under the direction of the department director. Uses independent judgement in crisis situations and takes appropriate actions.

• Supervises nursing/patient care activities within their scope.
• Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations and efficiency of service.
• Assigns duties as needed to staff
• Informs department director of problems or potential problems in department in a timely manner.
• Responds to departments experiencing emergency situations and assigns staff accordingly during the emergencies.

Education:

• Registered Nurse – Licensed and registered in the state of Iowa and Illinois (RN)

Experience:

• Must have three (3) years prior staff nurse experience and demonstrated leadership abilities.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Iowa and IL
• BCLS
• ACLS
• PALS and NRP
