Assists in managing the day to day operations of the unit utilizing quality, cost effective patient care principles. Supervises, supports and develops unit staff. Consistently utilizes a holistic approach (considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned service area).

One experience as a registered nurse.
Experience in specialty area.
Iowa license as a registered nurse.
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC)
*ACLS and TNCC must be completed within 1 year of hire.
For ILH and MWH Emergency Departments, PALS or ENPC must also be completed within 1 year of hire.
Certification in Emergency (CEN)
Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse professional educational and lifestyle backgrounds.
Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
