The Technician Specialist, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist is responsible for preparing intravenous admixture products as assigned. The Technician Specialist is expected to understand and support the Mission and Vision of the Hospital. The Technician Specialist is responsible for carrying out the philosophy and objectives as established by the Board of Directors and the Management Team. Foremost among these responsibilities are strictly adhering to detail in the performance of pharmacy procedures, solving practical problems, resolving conflict, and implementing constructive change.
Must be registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy and possess a national pharmacy technician certification. Must demonstrate an aptitude and interest in pharmaceutical services. Experience with computer systems is desirable; medical terminology is helpful; previous technician experience is desirable. EOE M/F/V/D
