For children 0-12 months provides classroom leadership and planning as well as childcare services which meets the development needs of each child. Consistently communicates with each child’s parents to ensure that quality care is being given and the child/family needs are being met. Works effectively with other team members. The lead teacher follows hospital, department, and Department of Human Services policies and procedures. Successful performance contributes to a positive work environment for UnityPoint Health employees.

Basic UPH Performance Criteria
Education:
| Require a four year degree in a related field (i.e. child development, early childhood education, elementary education, early childhood special education)

Experience:
| Minimum two years experience in licensed child care facility. | Prefer experience in an accredited program. Also prefer supervisory experience. |
License(s)/Certification(s):
| Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. |
