Overview

UnityPoint - Cedar Falls 

Full-Time: 8-12 hour shifts; open seven days a week 8am-8pm rotating shifts; holiday/weekend rotation 

 

Functions as a Pharmacy Technician as defined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners. Assists pharmacists in entering prescription orders, preparing and distributing drug products and maintaining accurate medication records. All duties are performed under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee prior to first day of work.
  • Must maintain a current Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration and be in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must obtain registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to the expiration of the technician trainee registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Must have strong math skills, with some basic algebra. The following are performed on an as needed basis: Functions other than described above may be needed occasionally required to provide optimal patient care
