Under general supervision performs professional duties in the application of Computerized Tomography and Diagnostic Radiology services. Demonstrates proficiency in performing all CT exams, and Diagnostic Radiology exams, administering contrast media and other related patient care services.

Minimum Requirements

Preferred or Specialized

Education:

Graduate of JRCERT approved school for Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the

licensing bodies.

Completed formal CT training program or cross-training program in CT.

Experience:

Clinical Rotation in CT as student technologist.

1-2 Years in Diagnostic Radiology

Worked as Rad Tech assistant in CT 3-6 months

License(s)/Certification(s):

·        Registry eligible team members who have obtained a state of Illinois Temporary License may perform duties in Illinois but must be registered by The Iowa Department of Public Health. (IDPH) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography within 90 days of their first day of employment and obtain a permanent license with the State of Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) within one year of their first day of employment

·        Pass ARRT CT board exam within 12 months of completing CT orientation.

·        CPR certification

·        Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

·        Is registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and is registry eligible to take CT certification exam.
