3 West Ortho has been recognized as Blue Distinction for the care we give to our total hip and knee replacement patients. We are a 34-bed unit that specializes in the orthopaedic population. Provides day to day leadership and coordination for assigned areas of service. Supervises, mentors, and continually encourages clinical and professional growth of assigned staff. Coordinates daily processes and patient care with other interdisciplinary team members to improve patient/family satisfaction, patient outcomes, and service excellence.

Graduate of an accredited allied health profession in the profession of licensure. Current Iowa license as a Registered Nurse. Bachelors' degree in Nursing, or completed within an agreed upon time frame. ONC certification within 2 years from hire date. Three years experience as a registered nurse. Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrates professional and technical competence and leadership abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, prior program development experience preferred. Experience includes positive working relationships and teamwork. Orthopedics experience required. Must read, speak and comprehend English. Must be able to communicate effectively (written and orally) with people of diverse professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds.
