We are looking for a PRN staff to work in our Cardiology Clinic as a Registered Nurse. This position is PRN which means you will work on an as needed basis to help with coverage within the department. 

UnityPoint Health - Dubuque offers and outpatient Cardiovascular clinic, staffed by two board-certified cardiovascular interventionalists and a support Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm, along with an after-hours answering service to help address patient needs. We evaluate and treat adult cardiovascular conditions and offer same-day appointments as needed.

The Clinic RN will function within the specialty of cardiology as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients. They will be responsible for performing and assisting the providers with in-office procedures, telephone triage, and direct patient appointments and referrals. The RN will assist in the patient rooming process, perform point-of-care lab testing, document appropriate information into the patient's electronic medical record using standardized workflows and processes. Ensure chart preparation is accurate and completed for upcoming clinics, schedule appropriate procedures and referrals, and pre-authorize with insurance companies.

Must hold an active RN license to practice in the state of Iowa. The position requires at least an Associate's degree in nursing. RN employees are required to have or obtain a BSN within five years after their start date with UnityPoint Health - Dubuque. Candidates with previous clinic or cardiology experience is a plus.
