QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
| Education must be an Associate Degree in Biological or Chemical or MLT (or demonstrate 60 hours as defined by the College of American Pathology) from an accredited School or a U.S. Military Occ. Specialty of Medical Laboratory, or previously qualified before 1995 according to CLIA qualifications which is sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certifying Agencies’ examination routes. Must meet Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and College of American Pathology (CAP) requirements to perform highly complex testing. Additionally, any regulatory agency personnel standards, which are applicable to the position, must be met. | Certifying Agencies include but are not limited to the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC), American Medical Technologist (AMT) Certification, and American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) Board of Registry (ABOR) or U.S Military Laboratory Training Program. As long as these are met, any exam may be taken. |
Experience:
| Experience in clinical laboratory disciplines sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician Certifying Agencies’ examination routes. |

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
| Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. |
