Serves as a resource person to staff, both clinically and administratively. Serves as the off shift representative of management: that represents and supports management. Supervises staff and makes administrative decisions which may involve patients and their families and UnityPoint Des Moines staff. Maintains a global perspective as a basis for decision making. Coordinates utilization of resources including staff and equipment. Seeks to enhance quality of care by acting as consultant and mentor. Provides feedback to appropriate management regarding staff and clinical situations as necessary. Contributes to an environment that promotes staff empowerment. Coordinates patient placement in collaboration with Patient Access, Transfer Center, Clinical Staffing, and nursing departments.
