Overview

As a Hardware Tech Lead, you will coordinate the delivery of service within your assigned region by providing leadership and mentoring to the local hardware team, coordinating support efforts in the region, overseeing the resolution of all technology issues and IT related project initiatives in the region.  You will maintain a strong working relationship with peers in all regions, and work collaboratively and closely with the Regional Service Managers, customers and other IT team members to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Hardware Tech Lead, you will coordinate the delivery of service within your assigned region by providing leadership and mentoring to the local hardware team, coordinating support efforts in the region, overseeing the resolution of all technology issues and IT related project initiatives in the region.  You will maintain a strong working relationship with peers in all regions, and work collaboratively and closely with the Regional Service Managers, customers and other IT team members to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.   Additionally, you will:

 

  • Provide leadership to Local IT Team members to ensure delivery of regional hardware support services for user departments/clinics in the assigned region.
  • Serve as point of contact for incoming resource requests, work assignments and support activities. 
  • Provide leadership to staff ensuring advanced assistance and support; troubleshooting and resolution of system and software issues while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Set and adjust priorities for the Hardware Techs as needed to ensure solutions result in customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee night and weekend on-call coverage scheduling to ensure resources are scheduled appropriate to support customer needs across the region.
  • Monitors and ensures accuracy of inventory levels, and recommends adjustments as necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • 6+ years of general PC experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Eracent (inventory) software.
  • Knowledge with UPH IT Division processes (i.e.: ticket troubleshooting, ability to identify root cause and engage appropriate stakeholders).

 

A strong candidate will also have:

  • Experience leading cross functional teams.
  • Project management experience, with ability to create/maintain project timelines, goals, dependencies, and project deliverable.
