Inaptient Pharmacy 

Full-Time: 1st Shift (8 hours); 32 hours weekly; Every 3rd Weekend; Holiday Rotation 


Functions as a Pharmacy Technician as defined by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners. Assists pharmacists in entering prescription orders, preparing and distributing drug products and maintaining accurate medication records. All duties are performed under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Will consider Certified Pharmacy Technicians as well.

  • Must be high school graduate/equivalent or higher level of education.
  • Must be registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee within 30 days of hire.
  • Must then maintain a current Pharmacy Technician Trainee registration and be in good standing with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy. Must obtain registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to the expiration of the technician trainee registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English. Must have strong math skills, with some basic algebra. Some college training preferred. Experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy desirable. Experience in a health care facility desirable. Proficient in using computer systems.
