EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Successful completion and documentation of one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant as listed on Healthcare worker registry. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and waiting for reexamination, or hold a current, valid license in another state and awaiting licensure in the state of employment. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS: Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instruction. Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with patients and staff. Must be able to set priorities and react rationally to situations in patient care settings. LICENSES, REGISTRATION & CERTIFICATION: Current CPR Certification required.

Experience: Must be at least 16 years old if meeting #5 below under license/certification.

 

License(s)/Certification(s): Successful completion and documentation of one of the following:

1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and waiting for NCLEX re-examination.
2. Certified Nursing Assistant listed as either Active or Inactive on any state health care worker registry.
3. EMT-B licensure.
4. Medical Assistant.
5. Must be enrolled in Trinity’s PCT on the job training program and successfully complete.
6. Successful completion of first semester of nursing school that includes Nursing Fundamentals.
7. Current CPR certification.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Microsoft Office – basic computer skills. Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.

 

Other: Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities.
