Education: High School graduation (or GED).
Experience: Knowledge of proper food handling and preparation. Mental health or substance disorder experience preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s): Possession of a valid Class “D” Iowa driver’s license or an equivalent license from the employee’s state of residence. CPR Certification. CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training, initial & yearly renewal.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have thorough knowledge of proper food handling and preparation. Must have thorough knowledge of the federal drug and alcohol confidentiality law (42 C.F.R. Part 2) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in English. Must be able to deal effectively with mentally ill and/or substance abuse clients and a multi-disciplinary team of professional staff. Must have the ability to work in a situation with a high degree of physical and emotional strain.
Other: Ability to perform the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation where applicable. Ability to work a varied schedule to include some weekends, holidays, and overtime. Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
